I started my career in Physical Therapy after obtaining my doctorate at University of St. Augustine in 2009. I specialize in Orthopedics and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. I have been Adjunct Faculty for University of St. Augustine in their doctorate program and also for Mesa College in their Physical Therapy Assistant Program. I have obtained board specialization in Orthopedics and completed all coursework for Pelvic Floor via Herman and Wallace.

I have started several programs within private clinics and the US Navy to assist with better care for the pregnant and postpartum mothers as well as the orthopedic population. For more than two years, I worked at the U.S. Navy’s Naval Amphibious Base, which allowed me to work with some of our finest athletes and special op forces (SOF), including Navy SEALs, EOD, and SWCC. I am currently working on research to bring more awareness of pelvic floor dysfunction in the orthopedic patient.

I treat efficiently and with a wholesome approach for a quicker pathway to optimal function. With My PT 2 Go, my goal is to bring the best level of care to my patients without the restrictions of insurance.

Dr. Lauren Maalouf grew up in San Diego, California, where her love for movement began with dance classes and endless cartwheels as a child. She trained in ballet, jazz, and tap for nearly 10 years before shifting her focus in high school to volleyball, water polo, and track and field. She went on to attend Saint Louis University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Biology. During college, she developed a passion for rock climbing as a member of the university’s club climbing team and returned to dance as the Director of Choreography for the university’s hip hop dance club. Dr. Maalouf earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from San Diego State University in 2024. Since graduation, she has specialized in orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy. She is currently pursuing her Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist certification and completing advanced pelvic health coursework through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. Outside the clinic, Dr. Maalouf continues to pursue her passion for movement as a member of Culture Shock San Diego’s adult hip hop team and as an organizer of a local recreational beach volleyball group. Dr. Maalouf believes movement should be both empowering and enjoyable.
